i love this question!!! I have
personally wondered a related question, which is, is he even a good actor? like
is it possible that the reason his performance in the winter soldier was a
heart-stopping work of tragic genius is that he had no lines and a mask over
his face? at the least he is incredibly emotionally intuitive, i mean he’s
really so good at being sad.
but what if he’s an idiot? WHAT IF???? unfortunately the only
celebrities i have ever learned intimately to the point where I could identify
their leg hair from a moving train belong to one direction so i’m not sure. u should definitely give me ur opinion as a more experienced bazzy scholar!!! my reaction to him when I’m not having a full-on bucky barnes related sex collapse is
oh look at this lovable doof, sweet guy, what a trier, probably not as intellectual
as chris evans because he’s not dating jenny slate. but in the interests of research i just read an interview with him to give a totally informed opinion.
and based on the interview i
would maybe say nah, not a total know nothin idiot, but also can i even trust the
interview? like, he’s talking about some tv show about comics in the 1970s, and
according to GQ he literally said, “This show really captures that
double-edged sword of fame that fueled the long, sleepless, drug-filled night
of that era.” does that sound like an actual sentence that would
have come out of a real person’s mouth? possibly sebstan just made random
mouth noises and then GQ wrote some dialogue for him???
the main thing I wanna say about that
interview, actually, is that at the beginning there’s a picture of him wearing
something that looks like a pajama top with a zipper, but it’s tucked into his
pants.
and then the caption says “These
shirts are supposed to fit a little looser. So embrace the drape like Sebastian
here. You’re doing it right if it feels a little louche.” which is so
great, because louche. SORDID AND
SLEAZY. “here is sebastian stan wearing something indefinably unsavory,
and now for our article about how he enjoys fresh air and exercise.” NAILED

He did speak german as a child but stopped when he moved. I think he takes time to find the right words to formulate his answer so it can appear as if he’s switched off. He seems to be keen to learn in general, he’s said in interviews how he tags articles he comes across on the internet so he can read it when he has more time to understand it and research it more, so at least he has a inquisitive mind. Daydreaming can also be you thinking of things more detail.
